FRANCISCO MESQUITA, DIRECTOR OF CHURCH OPERATIONS

Francisco has served as Director of Church Operations at St James since 2011. He comes with an extensive background including sales, banking and mortgage, administration, and involved in multiple church ministries, Christian school administration, funding, rescue missions, and consulting services for churches, and nonprofit organizations. He specializes in taking big-picture organization goals and turning those into action based on strategic objectives. He enjoys start-up operations, thinks globally, uses his intuition and likes to problem solve to get the job done. He loves a challenge and is highly inquisitive. Francisco holds both an MBA and Masters of Divinity, a BA in Business Administration and certifications including MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) Certified Practitioner, and Studies in Law. Francisco resides in Orange County with his wife who is a teacher at a Christian Elementary School. They enjoy time together and time with family, including their three grandsons.

MARIAN MICHAELS, ASSISTANT FOR PARISH LIFE

Marian has served on St. James staff since 1975. She assists in the planning and coordination of church events, baptisms, weddings, and funerals. She is also a member of the St. James Flower Guild and finds it very therapeutic.

CHARLES MAGGS, DIRECTOR OF MUSIC ARTS

Charles Maggs has served as choir director, organist, worship leader, accompanist and handbell choir director at a number of churches in the Orange county area for over thirty years. He graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Music degree in 1983, and a music teaching credential in 1984. He was honored and privileged to assemble teams of musicians and direct the music for the consecration services of the first and second bishops of the Diocese of Western Anglicans. Mr. Maggs has been working with handbells since 1974, and has more than 80 pieces of handbell music in print for beginning choirs and small ensembles.  He currently directs the handbell groups that are part of the All American Boys Chorus in Costa Mesa. Mr. Maggs has been married to his wife Jill since 1992, and they have two sons.

MIRANDA HICKMAN, WORSHIP LEADER 11:15 SERVICE
 
Miranda, a born-and-raised So. Cal. desert rat, joined the St. James family in October of 2017 after graduating from Vanguard University in 2017 with a BA in Musical Theater. She began her journey in worship leadership ten years ago and is so excited to continue it through St. James. Other than leading worship and serving God, Miranda can also be found meandering through various coffee shops or working with after school elementary theater programs. She is always ready for a cup of coffee and some good conversation!
 
MONET SHELTON, WORSHIP LEADER 11:15 SERVICE
 
Monet is a recent graduate of Vanguard University’s undergraduate program and is happy to be serving on the worship team here at St. James. Prior to coming to St. James she has had the opportunity to serve as a youth intern at Calvary Santa Ana, a worship intern at Discovery Church, and a youth intern at Newport Mesa Church. She currently lives in Costa Mesa and enjoys hearing people’s life stories, spending time at the beach, drawing, and hiking.

Janet has been our Graphic Designer since 2012. Graduated from California State University Dominguez Hills with a Bachelor of Arts in Art/Graphic design and a minor in Computer Art. Her love for God and desire to pursue her career in Graphic Design has brought her to this point in life. She loves the fact that she can be creative and bring Glory to God in all she does.

Christian is a Vanguard University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion. He has always had a heart for ministry, and plans to continue to learn how to reach and love others for God.

After 25 years of Service and Ministry to the Congregation of St. James, Rev. Cathie along with Her husband Philip have retired.
